The future is here. Looks like within the next decade or so this expanding medical technology can make Luke Skywalker Surgery as prevalent as Tommy John Surgery.
It is no coincidence that technological development of prosthetics is booming at the same time that we have been at war in Afghanistan and Iraq. The need to help the soldiers wounded and disabled while in service to their country is driving innovation.
